Polyimide Kapton Tape is often used for applications that require holding, insulating, wrapping and gold finger protection during wave solder applications.

Prime Distributing's 304-1 series tapes have excellent mechanical and electrical properties, plus excellent dielectric strength. They offer high conformability, outstanding resistance to cut through, and are impact and abrasion resistant. The burning of the adhesive forms a non-conductive ash. The Polyimide backings of 304-1 series tapes meet Mil-P-46112B specifications. They are recognized under the components program of Underwriters Laboratories, Inc. Guide File E66639 with a 180°C temperature rating, and comply with UL510 for flame retardance. Prime Distributing's 304-1 series tapes also meet the UL Guide OANZ2 specification.

Factory stock for 304-1 series tapes is in master roll form 36 yards long x 38 inches wide. Rolls can be slit 1/2" wide to 38 inches wide.
